Grant Ross

General Manager - The Black Bass & Lumberville General Store

Originally from Carnoustie, Scotland, Grant Ross worked throughout the United Kingdom in both corporate and private hotels and restaurants. Before joining us in Lumberville, Mr. Ross owned his own hotel near St. Andrews. His extensive skills assure that every guest experience is a memorable one. Most importantly, he has been our font of knowledge and our most fervent storyteller.

John Barrett

Executive Chef

Chef John Barrett is a staple to The Black Bass Hotel. Having worked here for 10 years prior to renovations in 2009, Chef has had a host of cooking influences, including studying at the Culinary Institute of America and under Chef Tell for a number of years. He is a natural artist in the kitchen, transforming simple ingredients into a culinary experience for our guests to enjoy.

Kate Lear

Event Specialist

A Bucks County native, Kate Lear grew up in Newtown and attended Penn State University. Her ability to meticulously organize and coordinate any occasion makes her the perfect event specialist. Kate has been with The Bass since 2010.
